Download and install

Download the free 30-day trial: SimuXL-Setup.exe. Close Excel, run SimuXL-Setup, start Excel. The whole add-in is in the trial, with nothing to enter.

Purchase

Choose a license below, enter your name and email, and pay securely through Stripe. No machine id is needed at checkout.

Receive your activation code

An activation code beginning SXLA- is emailed to you within 24 hours of payment, with instructions.

Activate

In Excel press Help › License, paste the code and press Activate. SimuXL fetches its key once, keeps it beside its log, and never needs the internet for it again.

Activating your code, step by step

  1. Start Excel. On the SimuXL tab press Help › License. The dialog shows where the license stands on this machine and this machine's id.
  2. Paste the activation code from your email — it begins SXLA-, three groups of four characters — into the box and press Activate.
  3. SimuXL sends the code and this machine's id to the activation service once, and keeps the key that comes back. From then on the key is verified on your machine and never leaves it.
  4. Press Help › About: the License line now names you, the edition, and the date your license runs through. Quote that line in any message about your license.

A code activates one machine — the first that uses it. If a code is refused, the dialog says which check refused it; nothing is kept, and an active trial keeps running while you sort it out. If you would rather receive a key than a code (for a machine with no internet access, say), reply to the license email with the machine id from Help › License.

Frequently asked questions

What does the perpetual license include?

A license to run SimuXL on one machine that never expires, covering every release dated on or before its Supported-Through Date — 12 months after purchase. Releases published after that date need an extension.

What happens after the service period?

Your installed SimuXL keeps working, forever. To install releases published after your Supported-Through Date, extend it for TBD. Extending is optional and there is no penalty for waiting.

Perpetual or subscription — which should I choose?

Perpetual if you want to own a version and decide yourself when to take updates. Subscription if you always want the newest release and prefer a yearly cost. Both are the whole add-in.

How long does it take to receive my code?

Codes are sent within 24 hours of confirmed payment, to the email address you entered, with activation instructions.

Do I need to give you my Machine ID?

No. The activation code binds itself to the first machine that uses it. You only need the machine id if you ask for a key instead of a code, or when moving to a new computer.

Can I move my license to another computer?

Yes. Each license is bound to one machine, and you may rehost it once per rolling 24 months at no charge — email us the new machine's id from Help › License and we will issue a key for it.

Does the subscription renew automatically?

No. Nothing charges automatically. SimuXL tells you in Help › About how long is left; renew here when you choose, and the new code carries the new paid-through date. After the paid-through date there is a 14-day grace period.

Is there a refund policy?

Yes. If SimuXL is not working for you, contact us within 30 days of purchase for a full refund. The terms are in the license agreement.
